I had heard of Tarpon Springs but didn’t realize it was famous for sponge diving. It was a nice little tourist spot. We watched an interesting video about sponge harvesting. Did some shopping and had a nice lunch.
I got excited about this little shop selling tagua items because tagua comes from Ecuador and I have some nice jewelry and decorative pieces that my Ecuadorian family have brought me. This shop gets their tagua from Ecuador and a local artist carves it all. It was interesting to actually see the tagua seed pod. They have some beautiful pieces.
I guess this guy is a regular at Tarpon Springs. He plays an electric violin. His music was beautiful; you could listen to it all day. Thanks, Pam, for the CD.
